Reframing the Worship Conversation: Content, Structure and Style

In this workshop we will answer four ques­tions: 1) Is worship for God or for man? 2) Do we initiate worship or does God initiate it? 3) What makes our worship specifically Christian? And, 4) What does our worship reveal about our theology, the Church's mission, and the person­hood of God Himself? We need to reframe the worship conversation away from the usually un­theological arguments on style we find in North America toward reflection on content, structure and style with a hospitable posture toward a global perspective.

Jim Hart

Robert E. Webber Institue for Worship Studies
Jim Hart serves as the President of the Robert E. Webber Institute for Worship Studies. Dr. Hart was a member of the first IWS doctoral class, the Alpha class, and served as Dean of Students during his matriculation.
